Heads Up, Northwest Youngsters: This Saturday’s Virginia Children’s Festival Is All About You!
October 1, 2015
Even if you were unaware that the Virginia Children's Festival returns for its 27th year on Saturday, chances are your kids would have clued you in! That's because this family-friendly festival is a favorite among area youngsters, transforming Norfolk's Town Point Park in a kid-tastic wonderland of entertainment and activities!
Stop by the park between the hours of 10 a.m. and 3 p.m. on Oct. 3, and you'll encounter more than 100 workshops and craft stations offering a wide range of interactive activities: nature exhibits, science experiments, cooking demos, make-and-take crafts, a teddy bear tea … the list goes on, but every activity is designed with kids 10 and under in mind. Younger children (shorter than 3 feet tall) can safely run and romp within Toddler Town, which promises a ball pit, trucks, and inflatables. Afterward, check out a music performance on the festival's two stages, and be sure to snap a pic with your child's favorite costumed character.
Planning on attending this year's Virginia Children's Festival, Northwest? Tickets are $5 and can be purchased online.
